Auckland Airport Retail Awards

This year we were given the fantastic opportunity work alongside the Auckland Airport Retail team to design and produce their annual Retail Awards.

The event was booked to be held at the stunning Villa Maria Estate in the Barrel Hall, a beautiful space for any event with polished concrete floors and timber accents.

Our brief was to design an event that was in line with the Retailers current marketing approach - The Best of New Zealand. With this in mind we put together a concept that touched on what we believe represents New Zealand best, our beautiful natural landscape, all while ensuring that we kept the space looking opulent.

Guests were welcomed in to the cocktail space with soft lighting, native trees and a "living wall" which acted as a room divider to leave an element of suprise for our guests as they entered the main dining area.

We wanted to transform the Barrel Hall into something different by completely blacking out the space, focusing on finer details to bring the event to life. An overhead canopy made entirely of Titree shrub hung suspended in the air above our guests with twinkling fairy lights to replicate the nights sky in a native bush setting.

Amber lighting with tree like effects thrown across the black walls gave off a warm and inviting glow which reflected beautiful light off our rose gold cutlery and ghost chairs. With the use of black camping lanterns, log rounds and a collection of greenery spilling from our centerpieces we were able to reference our overhead canopy back to the table settings perfectly.

With our fantastic suppliers we were able to create memorable event and we cannot wait to work on next years event!
