The Lantern Festival 2019

It takes a small village to produce the Lantern Festival. A week prior to opening The Event Works Group are on site packing in at The Auckland Domain & Wintergarden area. Working with approximately 30 suppliers from marquee builders, Schupepe Tents, Showlight & Power, Empire Electrical, Clean Events, GHL and many more, we all take our jobs seriously. The heat wave made conditions easy to create the festival but also made for hot work around the 5km site. As it's a public throughfare we had to be mindful of tourists, and families whilst setting up. Tonight prior to the festival we have literally turned on the lights and did a light and sound test of the whole festival site - it looks stunning. We were thrilled at how the festival has shaped up and can't wait to see everyone here to celebrate. They say there will be 160,000 over the next four days. Health & Safety is paramount for our team so we will ensure that everyone has a great experience, working super hard behind the scenes, to make it happen. See you there!
